Walking the Talk, A Sacred Responsibility----Dedicated to all the mothers

Dedicated to all the mothers in the spirit world and the children (regardless of age) that celebrate that they were loved by a beautiful and nurturing Lifegiver. Dedicated to my beautiful mother Edna Henry, whom I miss every day. All my Relations.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
M = memories of you float through my mind and I am filled with awareness that I was loved by you, and I feel incredibly blessed.
O = oh my dear sweet mother if I were granted just one wish it would be that I could feel your embrace and hear the words of love that you expressed.
T = to be one of your children, oh my dearest mother, I live my life in gratitude of your love.
H = held within your arms, I felt nurtured and I realize now that you are part of my spirit and everything my life is made up of.
E = ensuring me that no matter what that you - my beautiful mother - believed in me, helped shape who I have become, because I was loved and cared for.
R = replaying your gentle whispers of love inspired me to have confidence and pride in being a person of worth, I can still hear you say, ‘grow forward my darling, you can do everything your heart desires and so much more.’
Hear My Prayers
From the album spirit wind north Bill Miller prays a heartfelt and meaningful prayer for reconciliation. I do not own the rights to this song.
I pray now for the all the people
and all the nations
I pray now for all religious faiths
and all the tribes
I pray now for all the land
and I plead for the creator's mercy on us all
I pray this Blessing on all the kings
all the chiefs all the leaders in this world
For peace and dignity
and a time of quiet solitude
I humble myself to you my creator
and I give thanks in all things
I give thanks in all things
Hear my prayers through the rain and the thunder
through the storms and the lightning
Hear my prayers through the floods and the fires
and the earthquakes
hear my prayers through the wars
and the famine and the feasts
Hear my prayers through the trials and the tragedies
Hear my prayers through the streets of the biggest cities
in the back roads and the farms
Hear my prayers in the deserts and the prairies
Hear my prayers in the mountains and the hillsides
through the trees and the forests and the rivers
Hear my prayers over the lakes and the streams
across the ocean
Hear my prayers on the four winds
I pray for our children and the generations to come
I pray for their healing
I pray for the healing of all people
and the healing of the Land
I pray for all creation
I pray for reconciliation
From all that keeps us from claiming the victory
I pray for peace
I pray for peace
Mud Cake
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
A South African favourite ..........
This is the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night
Ingredients:
4 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. oil
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Method:
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
Native Pride
Native causes -- Our Elders
Our elders deserve nothing less than complete honor and respect. We are all part of the great circle. We are connected like links to a chain. Our strongest links are our children and our Elders. The children bcz they are our future. Our elders bcz they are our strength. In them is wisdom and in that wisdom we are all one in the same.
